I'm New

Welcome!

We are glad that you are thinking about joining us for worship on Sunday morning.  The process of deciding to visit a church, or making a church your new spiritual home, can be an anxious time.  We would like to make it as comfortable as possible as you are searching for a new place to call home.

Who are we?
We are followers of Jesus Christ who seek to share the good news of God's compassion, justice, hope and love.  As United Methodists, we invite and welcome all people, we support each other in healing a broken world.  We are teachers and learners who love and serve God.

What does that mean?
We are a church focused on reading God's holy word and putting our faith into action by word and deed.

How does that happen?
We focus on connecting to God and to each other in worship and small groups, growing in spiritual maturity through Bible study, serving the community around us through mission and reaching out to others as we are the hands and feet of Christ.

What can I expect in worship?
1.  Families and Children
Everyone is welcomed and embraced as part of our worship programs.  The experience of welcoming individuals of all walks of life adds to the diversity of worship we desire.  Children are always welcomed in worship; however, if you prefer, nursery services are available.  Our Sunday School program meets in Fellowship Center during worship.  Children and youth start out in worship and then leave with their teachers following The Message for the Young and the Young in Heart.  They will participate in learning about God and do a craft activity.  Children will rejoin their family at the end of worship upstairs in the Fellowship Center.

2. Is it okay to be different?
We are not all alike and don't think the same way.  We value the worship experience and welcome more diversity.  We share commonalities of our faith, such as a belief in the creating hand of God, the saving act of God's son, Jesus Christ and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.  But we are also a fairly diverse group.  If we had to label ourselves ,we might say Liberal, Moderate and Conservative.  We all realize it is through God's love that we are saved and want to spread the message of Jesus Christ to the world around us.

3. What should I wear?
Simply said, "Come as you are."  Our worship experience is centered on welcoming you to experience the love of Christ.  It doesn't matter what you wear to worship.

4. What does Worship look like?
We offer a contemporary service once a month and a blended service on the other Sundays, rooted in the love of Christ, the joy of our salvation and the redeeming promise of God's Spirit at work in our lives.  We read the holy inspired word of God, and through prayer, music, word and service, share the love of Christ with the world.

5. What do we believe?
All are welcome to be part of the family of God.  We are all "works in progress" who are seeking to put our faith into action by serving the Triune God and loving our neighbor as our selves.

6. Where are we?
