Summer Mission Project is Underway

The Summer Mission Project has become a tradition at Church Hill United Mehodist Church.  This year our focus is the Uganda project of Bikes Not Bombs.  BNB is a Boston based (and New England Conference supported) organization that uses bicycles as an instrument for social change.  In Uganda, they are outfitting more than 300 health workers with bicycles so that they can go out into the war ravaged rural areas to address basic health needs.  Learn more about the Uganda project here - be sure to scroll down and watch the amazing 12 minute video.

On April 22, after the 10:30 service, Stewart Lanier will give an overview of the project.  The mission itself will begin on July 1.  We look forward to all the fun we usually have with our mission projects during summer worship.  We'll be collecting used bikes of every kind every Sunday during July and August.  And we'll repeat last year's very successful Touch-A-Truck/Farmer's Market event in August - stay tuned for more details as we make plans.
