A Brief Introduction to the New Pastor
Rev. Luis E. Benavides, Th.D. has been selected to be the next pastor of Church Hill United Methodist Church. Rev Benavides comes to us from First United Methodist Church in Manchester, NH. Prior to that, he was pastor of United Methodist Church in Newton, MA and before that, served as the senior pastor of Saint Andrews United Methodist Church in Boston. He and his wife, Marlene, are the parents of three adult sons. The youngest son, Abraham, is a junior at Boston University and planning to apply to medical school upon graduation. Their twin sons, Luis and Mario, both live in San Diego, CA.
Rev. Benavides has strong beliefs in discipleship, work in the community and Sunday School for all ages.
Rev. Benavides received his Bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology from Anna Sanders Theological Institute in Mexico. He has a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA. He has a Doctor of Theology in the area of Philosophy, Theology and Ethics from Boston University School of Theology in Boston.
